Counseling offers a supportive space where preteens and teens can explore their emotions, navigate challenges, and build healthy coping skills. Through conversation, creative expression, and connection with a trusted therapist, young people can work through issues like anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship struggles. Our approach is tailored to each individual—meeting them where they are and helping them grow in confidence, emotional awareness, and resilience in a way that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.
Counseling with Teens
“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.” - e.e. cummings
At Eden Wellness, our therapists take a thoughtful, collaborative approach when working with teens. Sessions are built around trust, respect, and emotional safety—giving teens space to talk openly, express themselves, and explore what they’re going through at their own pace. Rather than following a rigid structure, we let the teen take the lead, meeting them where they are and tailoring our approach to their individual needs, interests, and goals.
While sessions often include talking, we also bring in other tools like journaling prompts, art, movement, mindfulness practices, or guided activities to support emotional awareness, resilience, and problem-solving skills. Whether a teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, identity questions, school stress, or relationship dynamics, our goal is to help them feel seen, heard, and empowered.
We also recognize that parents and caregivers are a key part of the process. With the teen’s consent, we keep you informed about general themes and progress, and may invite you into sessions when it’s helpful for supporting communication and healing at home. We’re committed to creating a balanced approach that honors a teen’s privacy while also ensuring the adults in their life feel equipped to offer support outside of therapy.
